Z-Ro - 'I'm Tired'

I know I haven't posted about Atlanta yet, been on a pretty hectic one. Catching up with people, drowning in emails, new projects are starting, managed the Camden Crawl RWD show which went well, anyways enough of the long talk... This video seems pretty fitting. Z-Ro is incredible.

J2K - 'Wake Up Intro'

J2K is set to drop a new E.P soon, I for one am waiting patiently for this release, he's one of my favorite spitters in the UK. The standard of Hood Videos is rising steadily, as UK MC's up their promo game, J2K pops down to Southend, Croydon, Stevenage or any town in the surrounding counties for some rude boy motor business. I haven't seen the UK modified car scene featured in a Grime video before...

Now this is something that more DJs should be exploring. Devlin & Darko working alongside the XXXchange label offer this fantastic CD/DVD Mix. The promo clip above offers a taste for what to expect from the Couche Tard CD/DVD. Working alongside &/or an incredible video editing, mish-mash master clan from Canada to provide a stunning visual accompaniment to the sound of two of Baltimore's heaviest DJs.

RRROLL IT! from Ghostdad on Vimeo.

This clip is from the visuals supplied for tours in conjunction with the Fully Fitted EP.

Although time consuming and perhaps expensive, instead of your standard mp3 mix, online throw away or podcast produce, video mixes are, for me, definitely the way forward. I spend plenty of time as it is trawling through youtube watching sets, clips, tracks and what-nots, so why not fuse it all together and produce an aesthetically pleasing visual sensation to accompany your mix.

The Fully Fitted blog is one of my favorite Music stops online and Alex XXXchange (The man behind Spank Rock's yoyoyoyo) provides some of the most inspiring, classically orchestrated mixes around. Fusing Connesueir selections of hidden gems, well known instrumentals and authoritative records. Not just content with digging in the crates and unearthing gems, Alex XXXchange plucks some classic quotables to thematic perfection, providing a context to his sound befitting of the most intelligent purveyor of modernist culture.

A must for all music heads is his 'We Make It Good' (Vol.4) Mix.

I'm not too familiar with Fully Fitted, Alex XXXchange or Devlin & Darko, other than the Baltimore/Spank Rock connections, if anyone can shed anymore light on them; drop a comment.

Make sure you pass through the Turntable Lab to pick up the Fully Fitted EP HERE and the Couche Tard CD/DVD HERE

Manchester City Legends: Uwe Rösler

The first of a "feature". Introducing to you, the unsuspecting reader a run down of my archetypal Manchester City Heroes. I will only feature those who I have actually seen play, not the legends of yesteryear of whom I've heard so much about.

My First Video Commission

So not so long ago I hooked up with Harry Main, an incredibly talented BMXer from Liverpool. He's signed up with Dave Mirra and Mirra Co bikes and is going to take the extreme sports world by storm.

The whole process of putting together a video on this scale was incredibly stressful and difficult, a challenging experience. I think the final video came out pretty well and I learnt a lot from the whole process.

Thoughts and reactions please!
