A few weeks ago I posted about this fantastic Afro-Beat, Jazz Funk blog called Voodoo Funk. The guy behind Voodoo Funk has crafted this truly inspring documentary about his journey to Africa in search of lost and forgotten vinyl records.

I really want to visit Africa, I've been secretly yearning for a trip to West Africa, I think Ghana could well be on the cards in the next few years. And for some strange reason, it's drawn me to this classic by Soul2Soul.

The Killer Meters @ Cargo (THIS FRIDAY)

I can't wait till Friday! The Killer Meters are playing @ Cargo in Shoreditch, East London. I've got a lot of love for this band, they played my Live SHowcase night in December 2007 @ 93 Feet East. Virgil Howe is on drums, I've known him since my Itch FM days he's also a quality DJ and producer, once of the name Sparo, but since the rise of some waste pop act he's reverted back to his Christian name.
